but deep down inside your buried
by a mountain of dirt.
You're suffocating...
You're drowning in your own denial.
And until you admit the truth,
The dirt will grow by the pile.
You think you face the world alone.
You think there's no one you can trust,
but to live your life like this,
your emptiness will turn you into dust.

I to like Saddlerider went through a devorce and thought i'd lost my children but now they are older and know the truth about what happend and now have good contact with them.

Yes many people go through their lives pretending that the bad stuff isnt real, isnt happening, and go on as if everything is fine, and in doing this you are not only lying to yourself and keeping yourself unhappy or living a false happiness but you are doing it to the ones around you. Life deals us a lot of hard hands and bluffing our way through isnt always the way to go. we need a lot of cleaning done to our lives and souls, a lot of excess baggage of our pasts to let go of and just move on. life is too short to deny yourself a true existence and happiness. Yes it's sad how many people live in denial and consequently as a result end up with nothing in the end. I have been down that road on several occasions and had to give my head a serious shake to get back into life and living again.
It certainly wasn't easy, I piled a lot of dirt upon my heart and soul going through a very frustrating and anxiety filled divorce. Loss of much, but especially the loss of my children. So letting in happiness finally happened with help from friends.
I got back on track and the past is a memory. Yet some of my past will never leave, thus I scribe. Nicely done Nikki, loved your imagery and tempo...hugs
